Navigating discomfort

What do you do when you’re faced with an uncomfortable situation?
Do you: run, cautiously sidestep, walk directly into it or have some other reaction?
If you’re thinking, “depends on the situation,” then what factors determine your approach?
Which of these factors have the greatest influence on how you handle discomfort?

Have you ever collected data on how you respond to discomfort through journaling or some other form of reflection?

I have a hypothesis: Personal data collection + intentional reflection on the data = improvement in handling discomfort.

Think about it like this: If we jot down notes each time we go through something uncomfortable (what caused it, how we responded, what happened next, that kind of thing), we start to recognize what does and doesn’t work in our approaches.

What if we could make real strides in self trust by being better data collectors? Seems like a quick exercise for a big payoff.
