My new podcast: True Self Move

Hey! I’m Katherine Brooks, Host of True Self Move: the podcast. Lover of radically authentic life change, meditation, the woods, cold brew, funny dating app profiles & dance music.

True Self Move is the podcast accompaniment to my (obsessive) exploration of what it actually takes to live in integrity with our authentic nature. Wikipedia (yes, wise Wikipedia!) defines authenticity as “the degree to which a person’s actions are congruent with his/her/their beliefs and desires, despite external pressures to conformity.”

Two years ago, I had a spiritual crisis (complete with existential tears!) brought about by years of living out of alignment with my truest self. I’ve been on a personal growth bender since then to change my thought/behavioral patterns away from societal programming toward authentic expression. Note: not a process for the faint of heart!

So, here I stand before you on interesting, sometimes shaky middle ground between two significant chapters: 1. The deliberate excavation of limiting, inauthentic, anxiety-producing patterns AND 2. A life aligned with my true nature that is rich with fulfillment and meaning.

The way forward isn’t through crossing my fingers and hoping for the best now that I’ve done some “inner work.” Moving toward a more meaningful life involves intentional action every damn day. I call that intentional action a True Self Move.

A True Self Move is any action that is aligned with your authentic nature, AKA the deepest, truest, realest YOU.
