People as splashes of light

Lately I’ve been thinking about that kind of person who enters our lives, splashes light and leaves. Perhaps we stay in touch with the person, perhaps they have died, perhaps we never actually met. I have several of these people who leave bright marks on my life timeline. Woke up today grateful for what they’ve shared:

A boss I worked with for just four months, who said “I’ll help you with your upcoming [my first] salary negotiation,” and brought me a stack of books to read with Post-It notes highlighting the important pages.

An inspirational entrepreneur I met when she was in town to speak at a conference, who validated my love for being in front of a crowd when she said, “I feel closest to God when I’m on stage.”

The Program Director of the summer camp I attended when I was 10, who later died from cancer and left a beautiful quote on Facebook that I have posted in my bedroom.

A friend of a friend I met once who is a dream amplifier, and someone I can call anytime to talk through big ideas and experience magic.

The list goes on. Send out a beam of gratitude today for these splashes of light in your life. They sprinkled soul glitter on your days.
